UPPER HUTT DISTRICT

The^borough inspector (Mr. J. Lerwill) reported to the Upper Hutt Borough Council last evening that Mr. Wilson, of the Department, of Agriculture, had interviewed him r with reference to the. prevalence of ragwort,'a noxious weed, in the Upper Hu(;t district. Mr/Wilson ptressed the unsatisfactory, condition /of river: bank properties, which he considered were badly infected with the weed.- He suggested that, an improvement ..might ' be effected by combined action with the Hutt County, in- making use of unemployed labour.
