SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.
Pressure has fallen somewhat in the northern portion of New Zealand, and risen «ls«where. Consequently, the westerly winds have become light since yesterday. There have been lijht! to moderate scattered rsins In western districts south of K»wh!», and in the extreme south. There has also been s considerable amount of mist or fog. Otherwise fair weather has prevailed. Temperatures-were warm in .the North Island, especially on. the east coast, but moderate m the south. FORECAST. Winds.—flight westerly, winds, veering to north-west ia and smith of Cook Strait .'and' freshening. Barometer.—Little movement. Seas.—Smooth to moderate. Tldae,—Poor. Weather.—For the most part fair to fine, warm, and, In places, misty; scattered showers likely, however. In western districts of til's South Island and about Fovtaujc Strait.
