QUESTION OF PENALTIES
Penalties imposed on persons convicted of the theft of poultry, often birds •which have been purchased at considerable cost and are of great value to the owner for breeding purposes, was a subject discussed at the annual conference of the New Zealand Poultry Association, It was contended that penalties were inadequate, and the conference decided to bring the matter under the notice of the/Minister, of Justice. ' .Parachutes have saved more than" 900 airmen's lives since 1026, some 120 of these being in Great Britain.
