ACCIDENTAL DROWNING

A finding that the deceased was1 accidentally drowned through the overturning of a dinghy was returned by the Coroner (Mr. E. Gilbertson) at an inquest into the death of Mr. James Johnson, sen., aged 61, who was drowned at Paraparaumu on Tuesday. The late Mr. Johnson and one of his sons were ferrying a party aehore from a.launch in a dinghy when it capsized while returning to the launch after the second trip. A resteue party speedily brought father and son in from the surf and they were attended to by a doctor and a nursp, but efforts to resuscitate the older man were unsuccessful.
