BIG TURNOVER INCREASE
The Wellington Racing Club's Summer Meeting was concluded at Trentham yesterday in fine but overcast weather. The track was again in excellent order, and the attendance was satisfactory for the off day of the fixture. The totalis'ator investments amounted to the unexpected sum of £31,021 10s (£15,441 win; £18,580 10s place), as against £21,811 ou the corresponding day (first day) last year, making a total of £110,036 10sl for the meeting, compared with £94,447 10s last year, an aggregate increase of £15,589, or 16 per cent.
