Yen, Chinese Ambassador to Moscow, described the BussoJapanese relations as very tense. He thought war inevitable if the Japanese. militarists gave trouble. In the event of aggression the Russian leaders were determined to fight to tfie bitter end, and the Russian army was thoroughly prepared. .
