BEEF EXPORT
SHIPMENTS FOR SEASON
With regard to the beef at present held in store at the various freezing works in the Dominion, the Meat Board reports that arrangements have been made for the shipments in vessels sailing in December and January next. ' As to the new Reason's kill of beef, the question has been raised as to the position regarding shipmerits next year, and the board has advised the authorities in London that the quantity of frozen beef, including boneless beef, to be shipped from the Dominion to arrive up to June 30, 1934, will be approximately 500,000cwt. Experimental shipments of chilled beef are not included in this estimate. These figuresl include carryover stocks of beef at present held in the Dominion. Deducting beef at present in store there will be approximately 300,000 cwt of new season's beef, which can arrive in the United Kingdom for the first half of 1934. It is estimated that ample provision has been made in the quantity mentioned to cover the normal output of beef in quarters and boneless beef to arrive iri^ this period.
