MAUI POMARE ARRIVES
DISPUTE AT LYTTELTON
The Government motor-ship Maul Pomare arrived at Wellington this morning from Lyttelton. ' She arrived at the southern port on Monday, with a cargo of bananas and general fruit from the Islands/ but ,-;.' was held up owing to a dispute be- :.". tween th« waterside workers engaged r in discharging operations and the employers. The Maui Pomare left Apia on. 6c« \ tober 19 and Niuo on October 21, experiencing some delay 'on her trip to Lyttelton on account of ? strorig'head . winds and occasional heavy seas. Shebrought about 9000 cases of. bananas, 7000 of which were loaded at Apia and the remainder at Niue Island. The Wellington portion of the consignment consisted of about 3000.. cases of -. bananas.
