YOUNG ATHLETES IN ACTION
SCOTS COLLEGE DAY
Although dull, the weather was not unpleasant for the morning session of the Scots College annual sports gathering at the college grounds today, and before lunch a big section of the long programme of events was completed. A light wind was in evidence, but this .did not affect good standard of performance, and competition, especially in the senior events, was keen. There was a large assemblage of parents, old boys, and others to witness the continuation of the sports this afternoon. A fracture of the right collarbone, scalp wounds, and concussion were received by an elderly 1 woman, Mrs. K. Stewart, of 82 Ava Street, Petone, when she was knocked down by a motor-van in Jackson Street ' shortly before 7 o'clock last night. After receiving attention from Dr. Donald she was taken to the Hospital by; the Free Ambulance.
