RELATED TO POLYDORA

Rebel Star, winner of the Okain's Trial at the Banks Peninsula Meeting last Saturday, made his debut in the Trial at Rangiora on Labour Day. He did not come into the picture on that occasion, but he was always in the firing line at Motukarara and won really well. C. McCarthy rode him 31b overweight. Rebel Star was bred by Mr. G. Hall, owner of Polydora, but/.was purchased a few months ago by the trotting trainer, J. S. Shaw. He is a four-year-old bay gelding by Robespierre (sire of Rebel Song) from Sweet Beauty, by Greyspear from Sweet Smile (dam of Polydora), by San Francisco from Winning Way (dam of Winning Hit), by'Caunio Ohiel. On such breeding he may later on be a more than useful performer.
