SUCCESSFUL YEAR
RESIDENTIAL NURSERY
Mrs. Porter presided over a good attendance of members at the re-cent annual general meeting of tho Lower Hutt branch of the Eesidential Nursery, and congratulated tho branch on completing a successful year. Visitors included Mrs. A. Gibbons and Miss Gentry, of the Khandallah. branch, who were welcomed by Mrs. A. Burgess (president). The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as -follows: —President, Mrs. A. Burgess; vice-presidents, Mesdames E. H. Charlesworth and J. Mitchell; hon. treasurer, Mrs. G. J. Holliss; hon. secretary, Mrs. J. A. Peterson; committee, Mesdames J. W. Andrews, C. F. Whiteman, D. MeArthur, E. Fuge, A. T. Fauvel, J. Tamblyn, W. L. Hooson, W. Nash, B. S. Kriox, W. Campbell, —. Tilbury, A. MeArthur, —. Forbes, and Miss Wilkius. Mrs. Porter gave an interesting address on the work being carried out at the Mental Hospital and the Nursery, at the same time stressing the great need for help. Tea was served by the committee, after which Mrs.. A. Burgess presented Mrs. Porter with a basket of flowers. Posies were presented to Mesdames A. Gibbons, G. J. Holliss, J. Peterson, and Miss Gentry. Members expressed sympathy with Mrs. E. H. Charlesworth in her illness, and wished her a speedy recovery. An address was given by Mrs. A; Gib bohs, who congratulated the Lower Hutt branch on ,tho result of the year's efforts.
