BRITISH PRODUCTION GROWS

This is due to colder weather causing smaller production in England and on the Continent. An interesting feature is the increase in the number of poultry farmers in England and consequent greater production, which has resulted in a decline in importation of foreign supplies. In the first nin months of 1933 the total imports of Great Britain were, roughly, 13,000,000 long hundreds, as compared with 19,000,000 in 1031. Australian eggs continue to grow in popularity and more grocers are stocking them. This is partly due to the trade's publicity propaganda campaign and advertising them in the larger newspapers as well as in the grocery trade papers, but chiefly to the excellent quality of the eggs.
