FAIRY RING

PIXIE PEOPLE: Poliyanna came'in to see me the other day, and unpacked an Idea. (You remember;, I was asking for ideas last iveek?) "Lois of scraphoolcs arrived, Fairiel?" she asked. "Well, no, not quite yel," 1 said. "They generally come nearer to Christmas-lime. Why, Poliyanna?" Then the Idea appeared. "I've been thinking," she announced, "and I've thought that someelves have books but no stories or pictures, and some are just the other way about. Wouldn't it be rather fun if tve could have a Scrapbook Afternoon in the Fairy. Ring, and all come down and make them together?" "It sounds jolly, Poliyanna. Would you have enough pictures and things?" .'.■■•./ "Surely," said Poliyanna, "if we each brought an old story or picture book to start with. Everybody has lorn books, and pixies who couldn't come might send them to you, Fairiel. Could tve . . . next Saturday, perhaps?" So there it is.' Poliyanna will be at the Fairy Ring round about half-past two, ready for any of you who care to come. Better bring scissors, in case there's cutting to do, and any scraps you have ready. AND old picture-books — —don't forget THEM! With very best love. ... FAIRIEL.
