PALMERSTON SKIN SALES.
The noticeable feature o£'the monthly gale of wool, sheepskins, hides, and tallow conducted by Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Palmerston North, was the marked increase in values for all sheepskins. 'Competition throughout was very keen at prices in most cases in iavour of sellers. Wool: In agreement with the present tone of the market values rose Id per lb. Sheepskins: The demand was very keen, and buyers' limits were more elastic and were above our last sale as much as 2d per pound for dry skins. Salted skins also sold much better. Hides: For heavier sorts of ox the market was better by %d to 94d. while lighter sorts were firm. Cow hides, however, were easier by %d to Vad per pound. Calfskins were also easier Id per pound. Tallow: The market for poorer sorts was better, but other sorts were slightly easier.
