FEILDING STOCK SALE
(By Teleuraph.) (Special to the "Evenlno Post.") FEILDING, October 27. A- supplementary cattle fair was held today with a fair yarding of stock, generally in good average condition. Prices tor young run cattle' were firm, but young Jerseys were slightly easier, with-a good clearance all round. Fat cattle showed a falling tendency, and prices have receded during the past month by up to £1 a head. The dairy cattle market has lost its emphasis and prices aro.easier with a smaller demand. Fat sheep are Still firm, with a good demand, woolly fats fetching up 'to 4s a head more than, prices for shorn. There was only a small offering of store'sheep. Pr'£ e%wc^ s . Fat ewes: Prime woolly, 20s. 3d to 2Js, prime shorn, to 17s;gqod, 14s 8d to los <d; maiden ewes, 20s; prime woolly hoggetb, 24s 3d; good, 20s 4d to 22s 6d; black-face two-tooths, prime, 21s 9d to 23s lOd; prime woolly wethers, 24s 7cl to 2Ds; shorn, 20s 5d to 21s Id. Stores: Ewes and lambs, 22s Id to 26s 2d; ewes with over 100 per cent, lambs, 27s 3d to 28s. Dairy cattle: Springing heifers, £4 to £6 ss, according to calving dates; heifers in milk, £2 10s to £3 17s 6d; springing cows, £4 17s 6d to £5 • Iob: cows in milk, £2 2s 6d to £3 7s Cd. Stores: P.A. yearling heifers, £2 4s; Jersey^ £2 16s to £3; two-year P.A. heifers, £2 4s 6d to £3 7s; yearling steers, 34s to 365; twoyear P.A. steers, £3 10s to £3 15s three-year ditto, £4 3s; store cows, 19s Od to 345; forward Shorthorn cows, £3 6s, PA. cows, £3; four-year Hereford bullocks, £4 5s to £5; ditto, P.A. bullocks £5 2s. Fat cattle: Fat cows, prime £4 6s to £0; light, £2 6s to; £3 las; fat heifers, prime, £4 los to £5 17s 6d; good condition, to £4 12s 6d; light £2 9s to £3 Is; fat bullocks, prime £0 12s Od to £7; vealcrs, £2 17s 6d.
