The light rain, which set in shortly after midday today interfered with the programme of .the exhibition tennis matches between, .the. English, Australian, and New Zealand players ;at the Miramar grounds. ... .. > ■. Play was to have commenced'at 1.30 p.m. with a singles match between D. G. Trance (Now Zealand) and F. H. D; Wilde (England), but at that hour the'! weather was unsuitable for tho o'pomiig of play*. The court had been covered, arid it was not till an hour later that it was decided to put on a doubles match between P. .T. Perry.and F. H. D. Wilde (England) and C...E. Malfroy1 and D. G. France. (New Zealand). Play began at 3 p.m. after a delay occasioned by the net-cord breaking. Malfroy and France won the first set, 6-3, taking- the last-three games in succession. '' •'
