START OF PLAY DELAYED

The start of tho Wellington Cricket Association's competitions was held up this afternoon owing to the change in the weather, the rain early this afternoon coming at an inopportune time. Most of the players were at the grounds keen to get under way with the season's match play and,' though conditions wero against play at tho timo appointed for starting, they waited on in the hopo that the weather might improve. Just before "The Post" went to press the players in some cases had taken tho field. On the college ground play had been in progress for some time.
