TKOUBLE IN IRAK
ASSYRIANS AT THE TIGRIS
, (Received October 28, 2.45 p.m.) GENEVA, October 27. A message from the Foreign Minister of Irak, Nuri Pasha, states that alarming reports have been received to the effect that 400 armed Assyrians are seeking to cross the Tigris into Syria. N.uri Pasha immediately warned the Secretary-General of the League and the Trench authorities of the danger, adding- that the Irak Government would not be responsible for anything that happened.
