UNTIL DECEMBER 4
DISARMAMENT CONFERENCE
DECISION APPEOVED
United Tress Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. GENEVA, October 20. The Bureau of the Disarmament Conference' met yesterday and adopted a recommendation in accordance with the proposal mado by Mr. Henderson, who said that for the Conference at this critical moment to adopt a policy which could be interpreted as an indication of unwillingness or inability to complete its task would be disastrous, and would play into the hands of those who said that certain Powers did not intend to reduce or limit their armaments. M. Massigli indicated that the fall of the French Government had not changed the situation. He said that any Government formed would undoubtedly favour a continuance of the work of the Conference. Mr. Eden said that the' British Government favoured the procedure now recommended, which is that the General Commission of the Disarmament Conference should adjourn until December 4, and that the Drafting jCommittee should prepare a model convention embodying Sir John Simon's latest proposal, bofore the work of the Conference is resumed.
