RACING AT MOTUKARARA
(Speqial to the "Evening Post.") CHRISTCHURCH. This Day. The Banks Peninsula Racing Club's Spring Meeting will be held at Motukarara tomorrow. The racing will be of more • than usual interest, as this will be the last opportunity for a preliminary prior to the opening of the Riccarton carnival. Large fields will be the rule. The Akaroa Handicap will see five Cup candidates (Polydora, Minerval, Raino, Jaloux, and Water Polo) opposed by Silvox and Sweet Agnes, engaged in the Derby and Oaks respectively. The following horses may be fancied: — 1.0: Okain's Trial Stakes.—Red Dance, Silk Arrow, and Liege Lord. _ ■ ' 1.35: Kaituna Highweight Handicap.— Shamble, Drum Tire, and Tea Garden. 2.10: Duvnuchclles Trot.—Real Burton, Coral Prince, and Yankeeland. 2.4 a: Akaroa Handicap.—Silvox, Polydora, and Jaloux. 3.20: Halswell Hack Handicap.—Royal Amphora, Haere Tonu, and Bon Tray. 3.55: Le Bons Handicap.—Cranford, Manetho, and White Doe. 4.30: Little River Trot.—Grand Author, Encounter, and Jimmy de Oro. 5.5: Brackenfield Hack Handicap.—Gayeonie, Niggerhead, and Sam Smith.
