MIXED CLUBS

The Petone Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club decided at a meeting held on Wednesday to send the following letter to the Wellington Amateur Athletic Centre:—"At n special meeting of the club held on Wednesday, the cycling trouble was very thoroughly discussed. In view of the fact that we have always been loyal to the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association and Wellington Centre, and wish to continue so, we wish to know our position at present. A meeting, of thirty cyclists strongly urged that you make every endeavour to have the N.Z.A.A.A. Council meet the Cycling Federation in conference to clarify the* position. We consider the present position is undoubtedly contrary to the welfare of cycling. Until this question of control is decided between them the interests of every combined athletic and cycling club are in danger. A continuation of the present troubles will undoubtedly be the clrath knell of many of the present clubs."
