X-RAY CHARGES
REDUCTION AT HOSPITAL
On the recommendation of the general purposes committee the Hospital Board last evening passed a resolution making reductions and modifications in the present, scale of X-ray fees. Tho chairman of the board (Mr. P. Castle) said tho new scale of fees would mean a reduction of about 25 per cent., and whore examinations were repeated half tho scale fee would be charged. There had been a good many complaints in regard to tho coat of Xray examinations. Dr. T. L. Parr said according to a table appended to tho annual report of the Director-General of Health there was a great difference in the charges of the principal hospitals for X-ray examinations. He thought the committee should give further consideration to the charges made. Mrs. J. K. Preston said she was gratified to see the reduction recommended in the X-ray charges, and agreed that the matter should be still further reviewed. On Mrs. Preston's recommendation the matter of X-ray charges was referred to the Hosptial Boards' Association for consideration.
