DULL MARKETS

Danish, 112s to 114s per cwt; choicest salted New Zealand, 965; Australian, 95s to 965. Unsalted butters are about 10s premium.^ • The cheese market is slow. New Zealand, coloured 47s per cwt, white 48s; Australian, 45s to 465.

Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., have received ■ from ''Messrs. Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd-, London, the following cabled advice, dated October 26:—"New Zealand butter: Finest, 95s per. cwt; first, 90s. Weak.". . . , ■••• ■■: A. S.. Paterson .and Co. have received cable advice from J. and J. Lonsdale and Co. (London), Ltd., as follows:—Butter: Market quiet: Danish, 113s per cwt; New Zealand/ 955; Australian, 945. Cheese: Market-slow." New Zealand, white 47s per cwt, coloured 465; Canadian, c.i.f. quotation, September make 51s 6d, October I make 47s 6d. Samuel Pago and Son, London, report under date October 2li to Dalget-y and Co. as follows:—"Butter: Market weak. | Danish, 116s to I18s; New Zealand, finest salted,-. 90s t0,975; Australian, finest unaalted, 100s to 106s; Australian, .finest salted, 90s to 955; Australian. G.A.Q., 80s to 91s. Cheese: Market slow. New Zealand, white, 48s; New Zealand, coloured, 46s to 475; spot price for Canadian, white 51s to 535, coloured 51s to 535." A. J. Mills and Co., London, cable the following market prices ruling at close of business on Thursday:—"Butter: Market is slow. New Zealand, finest 94s to 96s per cwt, firsts 90s to 925; Danish, 112s to 114s; Danish, f.0.b., 90s; Australian, 90s to 965; Baltic States, 90s to 925; Siberian, 78s to 80s. Cheese: The market is slow. New Zealand, white 47s to 48s per cwt, coloured 46s to 475; Canadian, white 545, coloured 50s to 525; Canadian, c.i.f. quotation, September make, 50s; first half October, 46s to 475."
