N.Z. ASSOCIATION OF REFRIGERATION

A symposium of addresses on subjects relating to slaughterhou^j and cooling-room conditions and their effects upon the appearance and bloom of meat was presented to a meeting of the New Zealand Association of Bei'rigeration last night. In the absence of the president (Professor G. S. Peren) a vice-president, Mr. F. W. Grainger, occupied tho chair. The addresses were as follows:— "Standards of Hygiene," by Mr. W. C. . Barry, M.8.C.V.5.; "Temperature, Humidity, and Weight Loss," by Dc M. A. F. Barnett, Pii.D., M.Sc; "Moulds and Mould Fungi," by Mr. J. 0. C. Neill, B.Sc, A.0.5.M., and "Air Conditioning," by Mr. K. O. Hale, M.I. Mrch.E. Each of the speakers dealt expertly mid interestingly with his subject, and at the conclusion of the addresses there was a discussion.
