TOMORROW'S EVENTS

A trial of strength between English and New Zealand tennis teams will be witnessed at the Miramar Grounds tomorrow, and tho visiting Australians will' also -be seen iv .exhibition play. The Wellington players to meet ihe Englishmen are C. E. Malfroy and D; G. France, who are rated at the top o't the Dominion's ranking list, while their opponents, F. J. Perry, the American singles champion and the hero o£ Britain's matches in the Davis Cup, and F. H. D. Wilde, twelfth player in England last season, represent almost the cream of British tennis. Two singles and a double will be played between the English, New Zealand, and Australian players, and the meetings of the teams up to now may be said to have been preliminary skirmishes for the event to be staged here. The Englishmen have been finding their feet after ,the long sea trip, nnd the New> Zealanders have been sharpening up their play after a winter of inactivity. The time-table is as follows:— 1.30 p.m.—F. H. D. Wilde (England) v. D.G. France (Wellington). 2.30 p.m.—F. J. Perry (England) v. C. li. Malfroy (Wellington). 3.30 p.m.—F. J. Perry and H. G. N. Leo '(England) v. D. P. Turnbull and A. Quist (Australia) 5 p.m.—D. P. Turnbull and A. Quist '(Australia) v. C. E. Malfroy and D. G. France (Wellington).
