BIG SURPRISE
(Original.) I was sitting on a little stool under the trees, when all at iuico I was startled by a tiny voice. I looked up,' and there on a branch sat a wee elf all. dressed in greon. Ho asked me if I would like to come to the Spring Ball, which was being held at the palace. Of course I said I should love to. So the little elf took me by the hand and led me to the palace. As I entered the door I became just as small as air the. other fairies. .I was dressed in a pretty fluffy yellow : dress, with a dear little pair, of green shoes. '~' ■'•■..■
Tho little elf told me that ho was tho only little elf without a partner, so he had; to go in^ search of one—and hero I was.
"We had all kinds of games ' and dances. Then wo finished up with a lovely supper. My littlo elf look me back home, ■where I told mummy- all about my big surprise. "TWIXKLE-TOES" (8).
