DE LUXE THEATRE.
The great popularity of the Fox 3?llms verilon of Noel Coward's famous stage spectacle "Cavalcade" at the De Luxe Theatre has induced the management to extend the season for ■ third week. Against a broad background of thirty years In an Empire's history is unwoven the story of a family. Throusb the eyes of a wife and mother is seen the whole great canvas'Of a "nation's, life, the endless struggle, the fears, brief happinesses, and sacrifices which are entailed in the progress of society. "Cavalcade" reveals, as no other picture ha 3 revealed, how the machinery of life moves relentlessly onwards, and how the many threads of existence ate drawn together and then broken by an invincible destiny. It is a picture of reality full of those little glimpses of brilliant humour and pathos, which bring a sense of awe and deep understanding. The English atmosphere is preserved throughout, the English cast giving a brilliant performance. Cllvo Brook and Diana Wynyard take the leading roles, being supported by Ursula Jeans, Frank Lawton, and Herbert Mundin.
