MANOR PARK LADIES' CLUB
The first rounds of the open and junior championships were played at Manor Park during the weekend under ideal weather conditions. In the. open, Miss Stevens beat Miss Kerr, 4 and 3; Miss Fairbrother beat Mrs. Sherwood 3 and 1; Mrs. Butler beat Miss Willi6 4 and 2; and Mrs. Barnard beat Mrs. Burns 7 and 5. In the junior, Miss Yorston won by default from Mrs. Hay: Miss Nash beat Mrs. Mehaftey j) and 4; Miss Gaynor beat Mrs. Blu'udell 4 and 3: Mies Bray beat Mrs. Foretor 6 and 5; Miss B. Mehnffey-beat Mrs. •(nekson 5 and 4; and Mips King beat Miss Butler 6 and 4. Tn the second round of the junior, Mrs. Barnard beat Miss Yorston l,up. Other games in the second round will bo played next Sunday.
