NEW BRANCH FORMED

A new branch of tho British and Foreign Bible Society has beon formed at Tawa Flat. Mrs. Larsen presided at the meeting, and welcomed tho, organising secretary, who traversed the work of the society and explained its aim and object, which was to spread the Scriptures throughout the world without note or comment.

The following officers were elected: — President, Mrs. E. Walker; secretary, Mrs. Turkington; collectors, Mesdames Mexted, Larsen, and Turkington. Tho ladies of the guild entertained those present to tea, and received a hearty vote of thanks.
