LONDON'S SLUMS
Clear-cut plans for a colossal clearance of London's slums have been laid before tho London County Council byits Housing Committee. It is proposed to spend £35,000,000 on the work over a period of ten years, so putting a quarter of a million people into clean, healthy homes.
Most of the area? affected are in the eastern boroughs of Stepney, Bethnal Gireen, and Shoreditch, but a considerable part of South London, whore tho difficulties of obtaining sites for rehousing are not so great, will be dealt with. ' . ' i
