FAMOUS PICTURES
Two of Kembrandt's paintings, formerly belonging to the collection in the Hermitage at Leningrad, have been acquired by tholiciubrundt Soe.ic.ty and placed in tho Kijks Museum at. Amsterdam. Another Rembrandt painting representing Saskia, his wife, and until 1928 owned by Lord Elgin of Scotland, has.been presented to tho society to bo placed in the museum, with tho reservation that the donors, a prominent Dutch f.ouple, retain the painting until thoir deaths.
