BRIDGE FARTY HELD

A further effort in support of the senior members and Optimists' queen candidate in. the V.M.C.A. Carnival (Miss Paddy Hope Gibbons) was held last;evening, when a ;huge bridge party was given by ther D.1.(3. firm and staff. The large tearooms were arranged drawing room fashion, with comfortable' chairs and couches and lovely flowers. ' Rhododendrons and camellias in rich tones were placed in large bowls round the walls and on central tables, the bridge tables-being covered with, cloths of a contrasting blue shade. During the arrival of the players and during the supper interval, musical selections .were played by the D.I.C. Orchestra, and songs sung by Miss Ailsa Dillon and Mr. D. Hopa. Miss Mavis Dillon accompanied her sister.

Miss Paddy Hope Gibbons was introduced, to the guests by Mr. Len Greenberg, V.M.C.A. secretary, who also thanked.
