CONFIDENCE CARNIVAL
A meeting of the executive arid supporters of Miss Nancy Olphevt, ; the aquatic princess in the National Confidence Carnival, ■ was held on Tuesday evening, when arrangements for the campaign, including ! the nautical fancy dress ball, to be held in the-Town Hall,on October 20, were reported to be ■ well in hand. A special meeting of.'MifisOlphert's lady supporters is to be held tomorrow afternoon. Mr. O. A. Moller is organiser of the campaign, and Captain W,.J. Keane, of the Marine, Department, ,is in' charge; of. the arrangements for'the ball.
It ■ is, calculated . that' it would require a-fleet oi. 125,000 aeroplanes, each carrying one ton of bombs, to destroy the whole of .London in one operation.'
