LOBELIA FROM SEED;

"C/W."—Seed of lobelia may be sown in the open ground during suring, but the surface of the seed bed must be worked very fine and made smooth, as the seed is as fine as1 dust. Very little, ii! any, covering is. required, a mere sprinkling of sand is quite sufficient. It. is-really better to bow in a box, as this may mor* easily be kept moist. If sowing in the open ground, provide some light shading during the hottest part of the day till the seedtings are well up. .
