CHRYSANTHEMUMS
FOR AUTUMN FLOWERING
Chrysanthemums are indispensable for autumn and winter flowering, giving blooms over a period of three months. The old clumps should have been divided up some time ago, but if neglected the work may still be. done. The young suqker growths should be chosen for replanting—tho old worn-out parts being .discarded. One good strong sucker growth is quito . sufficient, to; make a good plant, especially if it is' pinched back when from four to six. inches tall to, encourage it to branch out. It is best to replant in fresh positions, but should this be inconvenient and they have to go back into the. same place the ground should be deeply dug and well manured. ■ .
