Wright, Stepheuson, and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on the Johnsoiiville sale held yesterday as follows: —There Was a lafge 'attendance of buyers, to whom we submitted a full yarding of good quality cattle and sheep. Heavy bullocks showed a decline on laic rates, whilst medium and1 light, weight bullocks were on a par. Several consignments o£ very prime quality cows and heifers were offered and met with keen competition at prices showing an advance on late rates. .Vealers met with a keen demand. Wethers met with a dull sale, there being little demand; prices showed a decline of Is (id to 2s per head on last week's rates. Kwes, which were better quality than last week's yarding, could be quoted as slightly easier. Spring lambs and hoggets were keenly.sought after. AT MASTERTON. The New Zealand Farmers' Distributing Co., Ltd., offered C 53 sheep, 115 head of cattle, and 105 pigs to a large attendance of buyers at the Masterton sale yesterday. Fat wethers remained at late rates, while etves were a little easier. Store sheep were in keen demand, making good values. Dairy cattle met a fair sale at late rates, while pigs sold 'well. Prices were: —Fat sheep: Fat woolly wethers, 24s 3d; shorn'do., 19s 6d; fat Southdowns,, 20s to 24s 9d; fat woolly ewes, 15s to 17s; shorn do., 12s 6d; prime fat hoKcets, 22s 6d to 24s 6d. Store sheep: 200 woolly wether hoggets, ISs; others, ]4s 6d to ]6s lOd; b.f. hoggets, 14s lOd to 15s od;'small lots of ewes and b;f. lambs, 18s 2d to 255; store woolly wethers, 17s 3d to 20s 10d. Cattle: Good springing heifer, £C; springing Jersey cross heifers. £4 to £4 17s 6d; later calvers, £3 t0.£3,17s fid; small and inferior, £1 los to £2 7s 6d; heifers hi milk, £3 5s to' £3 17s 6d; cows in milk, £3 to £4; springing cows, £3 to £4. Store cattle: Fat cows (ex dairy), £3.10s to £4; lighter do., £2 to £2 ss; fat'heifers, £2 6s 'to £3; Jersey steer, £2 2s 6d; cows and calves. £1 4s to £1 los; good yearling Jersey heifers, £2 Is to £2 8s: two-year empty heifers, £2; Jersey bulls, £3; store cows, £1 5s to £1 7s 6d.
