Mr. L. J. Schrnitt, New Zealand trade representative in Australia, has advised the Otago Expansion League that the Monowai will make a special ex-. cursion from . Melbourne to. Milford Sound and Dunedin early in January, and that there is also e\>ery prospect of a summer service being maintained.
The news was received with gratification) and tho hope was expressed that the results would be so satisfactory that, tlie service .would be extended.
