There was a pleasing attendance of forty-nine persons. The colts' run-in resulted iv a win for J. Wilson, with J. Bezer second, and K. Guest-third. Guest is* showing an improvement. SCOTTISH CLUB. Three packs from ..the Scottish Club, comprising thirty-three runners, followed an BVs miles' trail, laid by T. Price and G. Buchanan. Including as it did one lap of the Vosseler course and aided by perfect running conditions, the run was a splendid "pips opener" for the Vosseler Shield event, to be held on Saturday week. The trail led from Island Bay to Houghton Bay and over the western ridge, down to Lyall Bay beach. From this point one lap of the Vosseler equrse was included, and the return journey to Island Bay was made via the Coast Road. No run-in was held. . The attention of members is drawn to the proximity of the annual dance and to the necessity of completing invitation lists this week. BROOKLYN CLUB. The Brooklyn Club runners were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bell,' Whitu Road, Khandallah, some twenty-two members enjoying a particularly pleasant afternoon. The trail, laid by Messrs. Tanner and Smith, passed along Jubilee Road and behind the breaking-down station, then following, a narrow track to the railway line between the two tunnels on the Tawa Flat Deviation. After a mile of road to Newlanda, a fine stretch of very varied cross-country work ensued, taking the runners to the Main Road near Tawa Flat;; The trail back kept to the road,-apart from a short cut over the paddocks behind Johnsonville. This run of eleven, miles-odd; proved one of the most enjoyable of the season. D. Sinclair put in some epeedyl work in the hill country, easily outpacing the rest of the field. On behalf of the club, E. B. Daviea thanked Mr. and Mrs, Bell for their hospitality, the members endorsing his remarks with three hearty cheers. Three visitors, Mr. Birks (an old member). Mr. Brown, of Scottish Club," and Alan Wood,' of Nelson "College, were welcomed. . : :: ' The club next Saturday. wiir' be the guest.? of Mr.'and-Mrs. W. A. Fraser, at, 51 Donald Street, Karori. There were twenty-nine runners, who were in three packs, under J. Long, D. Bowe, and J. Brodie, respectively. Owing to the nature of the trail the runners* became very strung out towards the finish, and for this reason no run-in was held. The colts, under J. D.
