I wish I were a tree, a tall, slim one, And the brown-bodied bees would murWith long lacy fingers upreached to the mur to me, sun; Oh, but I'd have such company I I'd sleep every evening to wind lullabies, All the pale little winds would cradle I'd wake every morning to low, croon- near me, ing cries.
