CROYDON SCHOOL BOXING
On Wednesday, August 23, tho ■ annual boxing tournament was held at 'Croydon School, Day's Bay. The bouts, witnessed by parents, friends, and old boys, were of a very high standard, and reflected groat credit on the instructor, Mr. J. Crowley The officials were: Referee, Mr. B. A. Guise, Wellington Boxing Association; announcer, Mr. W. Ford; timekeeper, Mr. L. C. Hall. The results are as follows: —Bantamweight, J. S. Stichbury; lightweight, W. Lewis; middleweight, R. C. Kemball; heavyweight, P. A. Jacobsen. Tho AVcllington Boxing Association's medal for the most scientific boxer was awarded to J. S. Stichbury. After the function the guests were entertained by Mrs. Skelley at supper.
