MATERNITY TRAINING
DEMAND FOR HOSPITAL
" (By; Telegraphi—Press Association.) WANGANUI, August 25. A.conference of women's organisations in. the,'-Wanganui district today voiced a, protest against the failure of the Government to fulfil its promise to build an obstetrical training hospital in spite of the recent intimation by the Minister; of. Finance that the sum: of £500,000 was to •be ' released for the erection:of public buildings. The following resolution was carried unanimously:— "As.workers for and subscribers to the obstetrical appeal fund, we would urge that if any public money is expended for building purposes nt this time a-.grant should be made for tho maternity training, hospital for the benefit of motherhood throughout the. Dominion."
