ECONOMY IN FLIGHT

FUEL CONTROL DEVICE

DEVELOPED IN BRITAIN

(British Official Wireless.) EUGBY, August 23. The Aeronautical Eesestreh .Committee reports that the Eoyal aircraft establishment has developed a devise for the automatic control of fuel and air mixtures which gives results of outstanding importance. By this device it is possible to reduce the fuel con-1 sumption for the power required for cruising to a figure much below anything hitherto attained in flight. Further practical tests are to be made, the results of which should be of considerable importance to civil air transport.
