Top right, horses clearing the sod wall in the Mariri Steeplechase. Centre, Cylinder returning to the saddling paddock after winning the Parliamentary Handicap, the principal race of the day, the finish of which is shown just below. At bottom, Mercian Prince and Swift and Sure leading the field home in the Seatoun Handicap.
