MEAT EXPORT TRADE
The New Zealand Meat Board reports that killings for export at all New Zealand refrigerating works during the nine months' period from October 1, 1932, to June 30, 1933, were as follows, the figures for- the corresponding period last year being given in parentheses:— Beef (quarters), 422,063 (150,357); wether mutton (carcasses), 1,076,791 (1,431,203); ewe mutton (carcasses), 945,455 (1,431,139); lamb (carcasses), 8,729,637 (8,592,677); pork, porkers (carcasses),' 256,681 (125,101); pork, baconers (carcasses), 53,608 (20,974); boneless beef (freight carcasses), 393,789 (311.888); sundries (freight carcasses), 186,320 (163,814). . . ' Shipments from New Zealand for the same period, with last year's figures in parentheses,-were:.—Beef, quarters, 245,074 (114,966); mutton, carcasses, 1,418,777 (2,127,128); lamb, 7,065,866 (6,984,347); pork. 172,653 (94,032); boneless beef (bags), 171,921 (153,497). Stocks on hand in New Zealand stores at June 30 were:—
