RUGBY FOOTBALL

Of the senior first division Rugby football championship matches to be played tomorrow afternoon there is one at least which promises to be one of the most interesting of .the competition, and it is also likely to have an important bearing upon the championship. Thiß is the match between Wellington College Old Boys and Wellington, to be played at Athletic Park. Old Boys hold a strong' lead for the premiership, but they still have Vsome hurdles to clear, and it is recognised that in Wellington they are faced with one of their most difficult obstacles. In the first round Old Boys beat Wellington by 9 points to nil, but since then Wellington have shown great improvement, and, in fact, have won their last six matches. Old Boys have been maintaining their. form surprisingly well, and with both teams in top gear some fine football should be provided by the clash tomorrow. It should be keen from start to finish, with forwards and backs continually on the move. The Onslow and Upper Hutt fourth grade teams will meet in the early match. The Marist-Athletic match, to be played on Newtown Park, should also be an interesting contest. ,
