WAIRARAPA RUGBY UNION

CARTERTON, This' Day,

The Management Committee of the Wairarapa Rugby Union met at Carterton last evening. .

Three junior players, J. Toucher (Cartertou), E. Ronalds, and N. Cheer (Maitinborougli), who wore ordered off the- field last . Saturday for alleged fighting, were dealt with. Toucher and Ronalds were severely cautioned and warned that if they appeared before the union again they would be drastically dealt with. Cheer was stood down for two playing Saturdays. In the case of D. Smith (Oartcrton) who was ordered off the field during the Carterton-Old Boy«» match at Mastertoii last Saturday, no action was taken as the charge was withdrawn.

Mr. Thrope was appointed, manager of the junior representative team, to play HawkeVßay at Napier. The Martinborougb Club entered a challenge- for the Pearson Cup. Greytown Club also entered a challenge.

The Carterton Club challenged for the Pearson and Redmond Cups. Mr. 11. J. McKenzio was appointed referee for the seuior match with HawkeVßay at Masterton. Mr.'Q. Donald was appointed manager of the Wairarapa team. Mr. McPhee was appointed manager of the team to play Wellington.
