FIANCEES' LINEN
MAN CHARGED WITH THEFT
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCII, Thia Day. Osrcy Arthur Fitzgerald, aged 32 years, a salesman, of Australia, was charged today with the theft of various Bums from young women. The police alleged, that the accused booked orders for linen on the time payment system, and lie secured customers by ascertaining tho names of girls who recently beenmo engaged 'mid would require linen. He had failed tft supply tho goods even after the final payments were made. Ho .was.arrested in "Wellington, and evidently had no intention of fulfilling tho orders. After evidence had been heard, tho Magistrate (Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M.), adjourned tho hearing to allow tlvj accused an opportunity to Refund the moneys.
