FAREWELL PARTIES
LEAVING FOR AMERICA
Mr. and Mrs. Erreld Martin gave a delightful dinner party on . Saturday evening at their flat/ Oriental Terrace, in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Miller, who will leave at the end of the week en route to Amorica. A pink colour scheme was used- for the dinner table, on which.were pink flowers, pink candles, and beautiful pink glassware. Mrs. Martin wore a handsome ■ black satin frock, and Mrs. Miller was in a Burgundy-coloured frock: - The guests wore Mi-. and Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Miller's mother, Mrs. Ficbeger, Mr. and Mrs. yon Schilling, and Mr. and Mrs. David Moncur. Mr. and Mrs. Miller were also the guests of honour at a large "eggnogg" party given on Sunday byMr. and Mrs. yon Schilling, at their home in Lower Hutt. Mr. and Mrs. Julian Foster and Mr, and Mrs.. Eugene West, who also are leaving this week for America, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Martin at a luncheon today at the Hotel St. George. A bridge party was given last week by Mrs. H. F. Whatley, Bnd there will be numerous parties this j week in their honour.
