Government Publicity Dept. Photo. OLD BALL HUT.— A new building, called the Tasman Chalet, was opened on Saturday to replace the old Ball Hut. The site overlooks the finest glacial scenery in the world, and is on the edge of the moraine of the Ball Glacier, fourteen miles from the Hermitage. The official opening was carried out by Mr. D. G. Sullivan, M.P., Mayor of Christchurch.
