DANNEVIRKE, This Day

The death is announced of Mr.. Jonathan ■Holden, a well-known stock breeder, of Makotuku, where he resided for thirty. years. He arrived from England "in 1859, having resided in Hawke's Bay since then. He was a member for some years of the Waipawa and Dannevirke Hospital Boards, a lid patron of the Dannevii-ke A. and P. Association, and Dannovirke1 Racing Club. He was a liberal benefactor to any deserving object. Ho leaves a widow and one son.
